Bring Signed Course Selection Forms for Wednesday, February 21

Just a reminder to all W-O students to bring your course selection form (signed by parent/guardian) with you to school on Wednesday, February 21. All classes will be called to the library throughout the day on Wednesday, February 21 and Thursday, February 22 to hand in these selection forms to their guidance counsellor.

Semester One Report Cards will be distributed to all students on Thursday, February 15th during period one classes. Students who were absent Period One for report card distribution may pick up their report card from the Main Office. Attached is a copy of our February Newsletter.

Waterloo-Oxford DECA Provincial Results

From Thursday, February 8 to Saturday, February 10 W-O’s DECA Provincials qualifiers, as well as our leadership participants, traveled to Toronto for the DECA Ontario Provincial competition. Over 6,500 students from across the province attended and competed in case competitions, multiple choice testing and participated in leadership development workshops. The 28 competitors from W-O qualified to compete based on their performance in November’s Regional Competition at SJAM. All attendees were wonderful examples of W-O Excellence, and gained invaluable business and networking experience. Congratulations goes to Kara Fleiszig, a grade 11 student, who placed in the Top 12 for her role play event at this Provincial Competition!

WODSS Wrestling Team Results

Congratulations to our wrestlers from Waterloo-Oxford on their performance in a tournament on Thursday, February 8. The tournament was hosted at W-O and saw our wrestlers earn the following in their categories:
Gold Medals: Carson Binkle and Olivia Lichti
Silver Medals: Morgan Bellefeuille, Rachel Hall and Dayne Gohl
Team results:
3RD Overall in Team Points
2ND Place in Girl’s Events and
6TH Place in Boy’s Events
We wish the team all the best at WCSSAA on Thursday February 15 at St. David’s Secondary School.

Night School begins February 12

Night School is held on Monday and Thursday evenings at Cameron Heights C.I. and Galt C.I. There are over 20 course options to choose from. Registration is now open.
