Mark Harper Award (WCSSAA Sr. Boys Rugby League MVP): Paul Schroeder
Mark Harper is currently a Superintendent with the WRDSB. Mark was one of the founding coaches of the WCSSAA rugby league and played a pivotal role in the growth of rugby in Waterloo Region. Mark has held various positions with Waterloo County RFC including Minor Rugby Director and a Member of the Board. Mark is a former coach of the University of Waterloo, and a mentor to many players and coaches from around the Waterloo Region.
This year, the league coaches voted unanimously for Paul Schroeder as the winner of this prestigious award.
In addition, the following players have also been honoured:
First Team All-Star: Trayton Austen, Zach Boshart, Eric Dakin, CJ Jovanovi, and Paul Schroeder
Second Team All-Star: Dylan Beam, Connor Crep, and Geordi Friere
Honourable Mention: Shaun Shultz

Information about Ryan’s Law

On April 30, 2015, Ryan’s Law, 2015 was passed by the Ontario Legislature. The legislation requires school boards to establish and maintain an asthma policy, which must include, among other things, strategies to reduce risk of exposure to asthma triggers, a communication plan for the dissemination of information on asthma, regular training on recognizing asthma symptoms and managing asthma exacerbations, a requirement that every school develop an individual plan for each pupil who has asthma and a requirement that every school maintain a file for each pupil with asthma. It has been communicated that this policy will be similar to other policies that have been designed to promote student well-being (e.g., Sabrina’s Law). WODSS Spring Drama Showcase – June 1, 2015

Come one, come all to the Spring Drama Showcase on Monday, June 1st at 6:30 p.m. in the Drama Room. Once there, you’ll enjoy a wonderful evening of outstanding monologues from the Grade 9 Drama Classes as well as a choice selection of short plays from the Senior Drama Class. Entry is by donation.
