Grade 8 to 9 Registration (Waterloo-Oxford District Secondary School)

Currently a WRDSB student?

Current WRDSB grade 8 students will receive course selection information and instructions from their grade 8 teachers in February 2026. Students will select their grade 9 courses using MyBlueprint at their current school in February.

Not currently a WRDSB student (and are living within W-O’s boundaries)?

Registration for the 2026-2027 school year will open early to mid January.

Step 1:

Complete the online registration form by Wednesday February 11th, 2026. A link to the registration form with instructions will be posted in January.

Step 2:

Complete the Course Selection Package and return it to W-O’s Guidance Department by Wednesday February 11th, 2026. A link to the Course Selection Package will be posted in January.

Step 3:

If your student has an Individual Education Plan (IEP), please include a copy with your Course Selection package.

Step 4:

Once we have received your registration package, W-O Guidance will contact the caregiver /guardian / parent to schedule an in-person registration meeting with an administrator. These meetings will be scheduled in late January/early February. Original copies of the following documents must be brought to this meeting in order to complete your student’s registration:

Proof of Birth: Birth Certificate, Permanent Resident Card, Passport, or Canadian Citizenship Card
Proof of Address: Current Utility bill (within the past 3 months) , current property tax bill, current phone (landline only) or current internet bill, current agreement of puchase of sale, current lease agreement, current property insurance bill

If there is a legal document that sets custody and access for your student, a copy must be provided to the administrator at the registration meeting. Both parents/guardians need to attend the registration meeting where there is a custody or access agreement.
