Over 100 grade 4 -6 students were at W-O on March 21st for the annual Mazecraft challenge. The competition has students build a maze to specifications related to the Ontario Mathematics Curriculum.

Each team had one hour to build the maze based on the challenge, and to successfully code their Sphero through the maze they built. Each team had one chance to run their code for the judges.

Students were judged on collaboration as a team, independence (no help from their coach during the challenge), the complexity and/or efficiency of their maze design, and the code they use to run their Sphero. The judges were Computer Engineering students from Waterloo Oxford District Secondary School.
