WRDSB Lowers Flags for Orlando

We are all saddened by the tragic events that took place this past weekend in Orlando, Florida. To show support for all those affected, including our LGBTQ students and staff, families and allies, we will be lowering our flags at our schools and Education Centre, until the end of the day on June 17.

WODSS Student Wins Waterloo Region Home Builders’ Association Competition

Congratulations goes to Griffen Brunk on winning the Waterloo Region Home Builder’s Association High School Design Competition. Griffen designed a three level plan using AutoCAD software. Griffen will receive a cheque and framed certificate for his award at a dinner celebrating the winners. Great work Griffen!
WODSS Wins First in Powerlifting Championship

Congratulations to Erik Bender on winning first place at the Ontario High School Powerlifting Championships on May 25, 2016. Erik has had a great season, placing first at the regional tournament to earn a spot at the provincial title. Great Lifting Erik!

WODSS Girls’ Slopitch in WCSSAA Finals

Congratulations to the Waterloo-Oxford District Secondary School girls’ slopitch team on an excellent undefeated season that saw them make it to the WCSSAA finals where they faced EDSS in a tough game. Great work by all players! WCSSAA finalists for the season.
