W-O Student Wins Boxing Gold Medal

Congratulations to Devin Mechalko on winning gold in boxing at the 2017 Brampton Cup which ran from Feb. 3 – 5. Devin’s daily training and commitment brought great results as he bested the competition in his category to earn the top spot. Way to go Devin!

W-O Students in Local Production

Two Waterloo-Oxford District Secondary School students are showing their talent in Seussical the Musical, presented by K-W Musical Productions. Madeline De Rosa and Taryn Meyer are excited to be involved in the production which is running at St. Jacob’s Country Playhouse from Feb. 2 – 11, 2017. Way to go Madeline and Taryn!

Report Cards – Thursday, February 16, 2017

Report Cards will be distributed to all students on Thursday, February 16th during period one classes. All parents are invited to Parent – Teacher Interviews on Wednesday, February 22 from 3:00 to 6:00 p.m. No appointments are necessary. Faculty will be in the gymnasium and cafeteria. Come and connect with your daughter/son’s teacher to learn more about their progress in each of their courses.

WODSS Junior Boys Basketball Tournament Champions

Congratulations to our Junior Boys Basketball team on winning the Roger Stover Classic Invitational Tournament on February 1st in Kitchener. The tournament started on Saturday and finished with W-O winning the championship on Sunday. The team has had a great season and faces Elmira on Monday, February 13 to earn a spot in playoffs. Come out and cheer on our Junior Boys Basketball team in the main gym at 3:15 on Monday!
