W-O Student Wins CSLA Scholarship

Congratulations to Jackson Gerber on winning The Canadian Student Leaders Award Scholarship for 2018! CSLA selects one student from each province for this scholarship and Jackson is the recipient of this award for Ontario. The scholarship recognizes outstanding achievement and contributions to student leadership in secondary schools and communities across Canada. These awards are the highest recognition that CSLA gives to student leaders in Canada. Successful candidates must have demonstrated a capacity for student leadership by making significant contributions to their school and community and by providing service throughout their secondary school experience. Waterloo-Oxford is proud of Jackson, his contributions and success!

WODSS Report Card Pick Up and Summer Hours

We re-open on August 16th for pick up**
Report Card Pick Up:
July 9 to 13 – 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Aug. 16 to 31 – 7:30 a.m. to 3:45 p.m.
Summer Hours:
The WODSS Main Office will be open as follows:
- July 3rd to July 13th – 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
- July 16th to August 15th – WODSS is closed.
- August 16th to August 31st – 7:30 a.m. to 3:45 p.m.

WODSS Hosts 39th Annual Athletic Banquet

WODSS Girls’ Slopitch Win WCSSAA Championship

Congratulations to the Waterloo-Oxford District Secondary School Girls’ Slopitch team on an excellent undefeated season of regular play with a record of 19 and 0 that earned them a place in the WCSSAA finals. The team faced EDSS in Kitchener on June 13, to win 11 – 3 to bring home the WCSSAA Championship for the second consecutive year! Great work by all players!

WODSS Boys’ Slopitch Wins WCSSAA Championship

Congratulations to the Waterloo-Oxford District Secondary School Boys’ Slopitch team on a excellent season and the WCSSAA title for 2018! The team went an astounding 19 and 1 to earn a spot in the WCSSAA finals where they faced BCI in a tough game on Tuesday, June 12. The players persevered in a close game with solid defense to bring home the championship for the first time ever to W-O. Great work by all players!

W-O School Spirit at Barnyard Bash!

A great event with lots of fun activities was held at Waterloo-Oxford on Friday, June 8 for our 10th annual Barnyard Bash! Thank you to everyone who helped make this such a wonderful experience for W-O.
