The Night of Commencement
**Arrival Time for Graduates**:
Graduates are asked to arrive between 6:00 p.m. – 6:30 p.m., in order to get your gown and be ready for the processional. Graduates will be getting ready in the upstairs lobby and the Community room.
Staff members will be available to help you get your gown and to help direct you to the staging area.
Ceremony:
The ceremony begins at 7:00 p.m. at the Wilmot Rec Complex. Seating for your guests will be first come, first served seating, both on the floor and in the bleachers.
Parking:
limited parking is available on site. We strongly recommend carpooling, if possible.
Gowns:
When you arrive at the Wilmot Rec Complex, you will receive your gown (black), cap and tassel. These are yours to keep and do not need to be returned.
These gowns do not have pockets. Please leave all valuables with your guests as you will not necessarily be returning to the same seat after you cross the stage.
What to wear?
Keep in mind that you will be wearing a gown, and the venue is not air conditioned. Consider leaving any jackets or sweaters with your guests. Also, since you will be wearing a cap, try to avoid high hairdos.
Consider wearing shoes that are easy to walk in. You’ll be climbing stairs and walking across the stage while nervous.
