Grade 8 to 9 Registration (Waterloo-Oxford District Secondary School)

Currently a WRDSB student?

Current WRDSB grade 8 students will receive course selection information and instructions from their grade 8 teachers. Students will select their grade 9 courses using MyBlueprint in February.

Not currently a WRDSB student (and are living within W-O’s boundaries)?

Step 1:

Login to Aspen to complete the online registration form (available in late January 2025). Step-by-step instructions will be posted in January 2025 once the 2025-2026 registration form is available.

Step 2:

Complete the 2025-2026 Course Selection Package (available on this webpage in late January 2025) and return to W-O by Friday February 21st, 2025.

Step 3:

If your student has an Individual Education Plan (IEP), please include a copy with your Course Selection package.

Step 4:

Once we have received your registration package, W-O Guidance will contact the caregiver /guardian / parent to schedule an in-person registration meeting with an administrator. These meetings will be scheduled in late February/early March. Original copies of the following documents must be brought to this meeting in order to complete your student’s registration:

Proof of Birth (Birth Certificate, Permanent Resident Card, Passport, or Canadian Citizenship Card)
Proof of Address (Utility bill, a bill with a full name and address, a copy of offer to purchase a residence or a copy of a lease/rental agreement)

If there is a legal document that sets custody and access for your student, a copy must be provided to the administrator at the registration meeting. Both parents/guardians need to attend the registration meeting where there is a custody or access agreement.
