The Ontario Secondary School Literacy Test (OSSLT) will be written Thursday, March 31 from 8:30 – 11:25 a.m. Please note that no electronic devices (phones, laptops, i-pods, tablets, etc) are allowed in the test room (leave them at home or in your locker).
The test will be written by all grade 10 students and any senior students who have not been successful on the test in a previous year. Students will receive information about where they are writing on Tuesday March 22nd. In addition, alpha lists by surname will be posted by the front entrance showcases that will also indicate the room number.
There will be no formal classes following the test. Teachers will be available in designated department classrooms from 12:25 – 2:24 p.m. for any students seeking extra help.
School transportation will run at regular times. Please also note that there will be no cafeteria service on Thursday March 31st.

On Thursday March 3rd and Friday March 4th, grade 10 students received copies of the practice booklets below as well as a summary sheet on tips for the literacy test in their grade 10 history classes.

Targeted Support
In keeping with past practice, WODSS is once again offering targeted support:
Previously eligible students have been invited to attend targeted support sessions. Ms. Bradley conducts these sessions during second period on the following days in room 507:
Tuesday March 1st, Thursday March 3rd, Tuesday March 22nd and Wednesday March 30th
A select group of grade 10 students have been invited to attend targeted support sessions. Mr. Futher will be conducting these sessions during second period on the following days in room 535:
Thursday March 24th and Tuesday March 29th
Students in the grade 9 and 10 GLE course are working through the literacy test booklets as part of their weekly work in GLE. These guided practice sessions started in early February.
