On May 6th, 60 students from Bluevale Collegiate Institute, Southwood Secondary and Waterloo Oxford District Secondary School Fishing Clubs met at 4:15 am to travel to St. Catharines for a fishing charter on Lake Ontario. Despite the early morning, students were excited about the opportunity to learn from professional captains aboard the twelve boats that would take them to experience Ontario’s incredible Salmon fishery. The group enjoyed a great day of fishing, hooking into many King and Coho Salmon, and Lake Trout.

A huge thanks to Get It Wet Sports Fishing, Krazy Kings Sport Fishing, Loonatic Sportfishing, Steve Beaulieu, Accommodations Des 21 and Niagara Fish Assassins for hosting this amazing day. Shout-out to St. Catharines Game & Fish Association for the surprise barbecue lunch they provided for everyone involved.
