Congratulations to the W-O Powerlifting Team on excellent results in the Waterloo Region Powerlifting Championships held at Grand River Collegiate Institute on April 21, 2018! It was a fantastic day and the hard work many of these athletes have put in over the past year or two was rewarded. Results summary:

Rose Danen (63kg class) – 1st **
Aidan Williams (59 kg class) – 2nd
Quinn Baxter (66 kg class) – 1st **
Caleb Brenneman (74 kg class) – 2nd
Reid Schwartzentruber (83 kg class) – 5th
Edward Boronka (93 kg class) – 2nd
Daniel O’Connell (93 kg class) – 3rd
Anikin Kirkbride (105 kg class) – 1st **

** qualification for Provincial Championships on May 26th at Grand River Collegiate Institute.

Several records were broken by our lifters on the day: Quinn swept every record in his weight class, Edward set a new squat record in his class, and Anikin set records in squat and deadlift.
