December 9th, 2014
For over twenty years Waterloo Oxford staff and students have come together to make the holiday season a little easier for struggling families in our community.
The Gift of Love is an annual charitable campaign, and possibly the best thing Waterloo-Oxford does as a community. We generate 40 Christmas Hampers for distribution to families, through The Wilmot Family Resource Centre, who cannot afford the most basic necessities, especially during the holidays when there are added pressures on their budgets. In addition we provide 40 gifts for teenagers. Many of these gifts and hampers are distributed to students in our school.
Every student in the school is asked to bring a food item (these are assigned by homeroom to ensure that we have the supplies we need to build complete hampers) and a suggested donation of $5.00.
If you are able to support our quest to fill the hampers, please drop the food item and or money off in your homeroom or the SAC Office as soon as possible.
Below you will find a list of the items we have left to purchase:
16 Rice
22 Bags of Potatoes
35 Juice
21 Coffee/Tea
22 Pasta Sauce
18 Cranberry Sauce
73 Cans Fruit
19 Jars of Pickles
15 Jars of Jam
23 Tins of Icing
We will gladly accept items and cash up to an including Thursday, December 11th, in the afternoon.
Thank you so very much for your continued support of our Community.
