From Thursday February 7th to Saturday February 9th,  25 W-O DECA members travelled to the 40th Annual DECA ONTARIO Provincial Competition in Toronto. W-O had 20 members compete in case study role play events, 1 member competed in a written innovation plan event, and 4 participated in the leadership development academy conference. We had 4 medal winners cross the stage, one of whom will be competing at the international level in Orlando, Florida in April. Congratulations to Peter Behnke, Ashten Fairhall, Kara Fleiszig and Narein Chenthil! Peter and Ashten achieved top 18 for the exam and role play components of the competition, respectively. Kara Fleiszig achieved top 18 for a role play, and placed in the top 20 overall for her category, and Narein place in the top 18 for both role plays, the top 20 overall for his category, and qualified to compete at the International Career Development Conference in Orlando, Florida. Medal winners who did not qualify to compete will have the opportunity to improve their DECA skill set, and learn from the leadership development academies at ICDC to help lead next year’s chapter to continued success!
