The WRDSB is offering FULL ONLINE new credits this summer, from June 29 to July 24. Face-to-face or blended summer school courses will not be offered this year.
IMPORTANT CONSIDERATIONS:
The course offerings are subject to change depending on enrollment (i.e. a course may be cancelled if there is not enough students to run it).
Students should anticipate 6 hours of instruction per day, with up to 2 hours of homework. This is NOT the same as distance learning.
Failure to login/participate daily may result in your removal from the course.
Course offerings are listed in a drop-down menu in the Google Form below. Students will need to be logged into their WRDSB school account to access the form. This link has also been posted in the Guidance Google Classrooms. Students may choose one course. Careers and Civics are two half credit courses and are bundled together in the menu. Please make sure your student has the prerequisite for the course you wish to take.
The 2-credit summer coop is not running this year. DCO3O is being offered and is a one credit virtual co-op credit (no community placement and it does not count towards SHSM requirements).
Please complete the Google Form by June 8th. Guidance counsellors will use this information to register students.
Students will receive a confirmation email from PRISM once they are registered in or placed on a waitlist for a summer school course. Instructions on how to access your course will be emailed on or before June 29th. Check your WRDSB email regularly.
If students need to change their course selections for 2020-2021 (as a result of taking a summer school course or otherwise) please email the appropriate guidance counsellor to request the change.
