Over 400 students, staff and members of the Waterloo-Oxford community participated in our 7th Relay for Life event on Friday May 31 from 12 noon to 12 midnight. Together we raised over $71,000 in the fight against cancer.

The event began with an inspiring lap around the track from our honoured survivors and greetings from MP Harold Albrecht, Mayor Les Armstrong, and Principal Carolyn Salonen.
Throughout the 12 hour event students took turn walking the track and participated in events and games such as bubble soccer, giant slip and slide, a colour run, DJ dance party, a performance from our awesome Teacher Band, Zumba and more. The evening featured a Luminary Ceremony and concluded with all students walking the final lap together.

The $71,000 raised brings the schools total raised to over $600,000 in our 7 events, a huge tribute to our community and a huge contribution in the fight to make cancer history!
